The first row becomes the header

Paste cells from a spreadsheet or type a tab between columns. Short rows receive empty cells. Newlines start new rows.

A small worked example

Two columns and two data rows produce a header, a separator, and two Markdown rows.

The output uses the table extension supported by GitHub and MarkThatDown. Other Markdown renderers can differ. Values stay text, including text beginning with an equals sign.
