Files will not open

Choose File > Open Notes Folder and select the folder again. For a single file, use File > Open File. Check that the file is available locally and that you can open it in Finder.

Pro is unavailable

Restore purchases from the app’s Account screen using the Apple Account that bought Pro. Apple manages billing, refunds, and subscriptions.

Writing Tools are unavailable

Writing Tools require Pro, macOS 26 or later, and compatible Apple Intelligence hardware. The editor still works on supported Macs.
