Check each requirement

  1. Confirm the Mac’s operating system and Apple Intelligence compatibility.
  2. Check active Pro access and Apple Intelligence availability in system settings.
  3. Select a short passage in an editable note and try the Writing Tools action again.

When a suggestion still cannot be applied

Review the visible error and whether the selected text changed while the suggestion was being prepared. Keep the original text until you approve a replacement.

No external AI fallback

On-device suggestions need your review. The app does not supply an external AI fallback for an unsupported Mac.
