Adjust one thing at a time

  1. Open a representative long note and switch to reading with Command-E.
  2. Open Settings and find the Reading controls. Change font size or content width.
  3. Return to the note and check paragraphs, tables, and code. Keep the setting only if the whole note remains usable.

When one block is still too wide

A long code line or table can need horizontal space even when paragraphs fit. Rewrite the block or review it in a wider window.

Presentation does not rewrite the file

Display preferences change presentation. They do not rewrite your ordinary Markdown file.
