Find the right file

  1. Open the folder containing the note.
  2. Press Command-Option-P and type a useful part of the filename.
  3. Choose the matching result and confirm the note title before editing.

When the note does not appear

Check the currently open folder and the filename. A file outside that folder may require File > Open File or opening another folder.

Choose filename search or text search

Quick Open is free. Use folder search when you need to find text inside files rather than identify a filename.
