Follow the saved path

  1. Inspect the image destination in Markdown Source.
  2. In Finder, locate that image from the note’s folder and check the exact filename and letter case.
  3. Move or copy the needed attachment with the folder, then reopen the note and verify the image.

When only the shared copy is missing the image

A Markdown file alone does not include a separate attachment. Send the folder or a reviewed PDF when the reader needs the rendered image.

Send the attachment with the note

Remote image URLs need network access and can change. Local attachments need to remain available at the path stored in the note.
