Make a visible URL clickable

Keep the link visible

Use a descriptive labeled link for most prose. An autolink is useful when the actual address matters to the reader.

<https://example.com/notes>

<writer@example.com>

Watch punctuation near bare URLs

An extension may interpret trailing punctuation differently. Angle brackets make the boundary clearer. Never assume an address proves that a mailbox receives messages.
