Test one representative note first

  1. Export a small sample containing a heading, link, table, and image.
  2. Choose File > Import Notes and select the exported material or folder.
  3. Check the imported text and attachment paths, then import the remaining notes if the sample works.

When the source app uses its own extensions

Check wiki links, metadata, databases, and embedded content individually. Ordinary Markdown is portable, but a complete app workspace is not the same as a folder of notes.

Keep the original export until checks finish

This process does not promise lossless migration from Apple Notes, Notion, or another database-based app. Keep the source until you finish your checks.
