Make a controlled change

  1. Open the target note and keep a copy if the change is broad.
  2. Press Command-F. Enter the exact text you want to find.
  3. Inspect matches and apply the replacement. Check source and rendered views afterward.

When the change breaks a link or fence

Undo the change promptly or restore your backup. Text inside a link destination or code fence can need different treatment from ordinary prose.

Confirm the replacement scope

Current-note replacement differs from folder replacement. Check the active scope before applying a large change.
